Job Title: Bus Driver I
Report to: Lodge Manager
Level: Hourly
Scope: Responsible for safely transporting passengers along a designated route while providing excellent customer service and ensuring the vehicle is well maintained.
Primary Responsibilities:
Drive a bus along scheduled route(s), ensuring timely arrival at each stop while adhearing
to traffic laws and safety regulations.
Conduct routine inspections of the bus before and after shifts to ensure it is in good
working conditions. Report any maintenance need to the supervisor.
Interact with passengers in a friendly and professional manner, assisting with any inquiries and ensuring a positive travel experience.
Follow all safety protocols, including wearing seat belts and managing passenger behavior to maintain a safe environment.
Keep track of client requests for arrivals and pick-ups. Adjust as necessary to accommodate traffic conditions or passenger needs.
Physical Demands
Stand and squat for long periods of time (up to 12 hours or more) with scheduled breaks.
Short and long-distance walking required.
Use of stairs and walking ramp.
Frequently reach below waist, waist to shoulder and above shoulder with frequent neck/back/torso twisting from left to right without restriction.
Working Conditions Environment:
Ability to hear and understand verbal instruction as well as other sounds such as safety alarms/signals.
Must be able to see without impairment for inspection purposes and ability to read small text such as road signs.
Ability to communicate effectively; written and orally in English.
Exposure to extreme hot and cold environments
Ability to work with in a rotational schedule (6 weeks on and 2 weeks off or as per manager’s discretion/business needs).
Ability to work safely and navigate within small/close quarters and congested areas.
May be exposed to periodically to elevated noise and surroundings.
Ability and willingness to travel/work long rotations away from home.
Candidate Requirements:
1 + years of customer service experience preferred.
Ability to read and write English.
Must be able to work effectively and efficiently with or without supervision.
Strong prioritization and time management skills.
Ability and willingness to travel/work long rotations away from home.
Must be able to pass a background check and urine analysis.
Must provide your own transportation to and from the facility.
