Responsible for all sample preparation duties and sample receiving. Daily responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to complete knowledge of all equipment used in the sample receiving and preparation laboratory, crusher daily ore sample preparation, blast hole sample preparation, fire assaying sample preparation and moisture analysis.
· Perform basic sample receiving and preparation of all samples delivered to the laboratory
· Perform wet lab analysis and reporting for all incoming samples
· Perform multi-element AA analysis
· Perform sample preparation and fire assay of solid samples for gold and silver analysis
· Perform precipitate and slag assays
· Handle reagents and samples appropriately
· Understands calculations associated with assay reporting
· Perform accurate and precise work in a timely manner
· Adheres to the solid and hazardous waste management guidelines as defined by the Environmental, Health and Safety Department
· Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned
