POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Senior Human Resource Business Partner serves as an internal strategic and tactical consultant to line management, senior leadership and employees on human resources related matters in compliance with company requirements and local, state and federal law.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Comply with State and Federal legal regulations, Integra Resources and Florida Canyon Mine’s Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
- Consults with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues without direct oversight.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day leadership of employees, ensuring legal compliance and HR best practices.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale.
- Works closely with line management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Identifies training needs for departments and individual coaching needs.
- Provide supervisors HRIS system update support (reassignments, promotions, work schedule changes, terminations etc.)
- Assist with performance management design and processes.
- Collaborates with department leaders to develop and maintain progression requirements (e.g., upgrades, salary adjustments) for new hires, promotions and transfers.
- Provides guidance and input on group restructures, workforce planning and succession planning in collaboration with the Human Resources Manager and VP of Human Resources, as required.
- Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations in collaboration with minesite leadership and partners with legal counsel where required.
- Ensure internal investigations are done within full compliance of all relevant State and Federal laws and regulations.
- Provides guidance and input on department restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
- Coordinate with hiring managers to ensure recruiting efforts are timely and in compliance with the current approved manpower budget.
- Collaborate with health and safety to deliver new hire onboarding training.
- Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR Manager to develop solutions, programs and policies.
- Assist with administration of all benefit and retirement plans, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, and 401(k) plan.
- Ensure accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendor partners with accurate eligibility information.
- Responds to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.
- Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities.
- Oversee administration of all leave of absence requests, including FMLA.
- Oversee the open enrollment process.
- Define clear objectives and expectations of direct reports, evaluate performance, provide verbal and written feedback on career growth, and encourage innovative thinking and process improvement.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or a related field preferred.
- A minimum of five (5) years in Human Resources as a Generalist, Business Partner, or equivalent required.
- PHR/SHRM-CP certification preferred.
- Intimate understanding of DOL, State and Federal laws and regulations required.
- Strong ability to influence and inspire others required.
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
- Excellent safety record with ability to demonstrate safety leadership qualities required.
- Excellent planning, problem solving, decision making, organizational and interpersonal skills required.
- Demonstrate strong computer skills required.
