POSITION OVERVIEW:
Reporting to the Site Maintenance Supervisor, the Site Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for various maintenance activities. The ideal candidate will be able to perform maintenance on fixed assets to minimize plant interruptions and/or breakdowns.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Perform day-to-day activities of all fixed maintenance assets, including but not limited to water supply systems, processing facilities, and the crushing plant.
• Experience with reliability monitoring and lubrication, best practices on equipment bearings, gearboxes, pumps, motors, and oil sampling.
• General cleanliness of assigned equipment.
• Ability to perform PM’s that are assigned and other routine maintenance.
• Perform pre-shift inspection, maintain equipment repairs/maintenance records and ensure that records are turned into your supervisor.
• Complete assigned work safely and efficiently that meets the company policies and MSHA standards, both with and without direct supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Knowledge of crusher maintenance, bearings, pumps, liners and other related component change outs.
• 5 years minimum Maintenance Mechanic experience Highly Preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED Preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment with people of varying skills and backgrounds required.
• Demonstrate strong computer skills required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds required.
• Demonstrated ability to perform essential functions of the position required.
• Must be willing and able to work in a mine and plant setting which may include exposure to extremes in temperatures, snow, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes or airborne particles.
