Overview
NN Electric is seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs in a Residential, Commercial, and Industrial setting. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, the NEC, blueprints, motor controls, and schematics, as well as the ability to work with high and low voltage systems. In addition, will handle general troubleshooting and service calls to deliver exceptional customer service with professionalism and extreme attention to detail.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Lead role to supervise Electrical Apprentice(s).
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in Residential, Commercial, and Industrial applications.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Utilize voltmeters and other testing equipment to troubleshoot electrical issues.
- Work with high voltage systems while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Perform low voltage wiring for various applications.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless integration of electrical work.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Journeyman Electrician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes and safety standards.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics.
- Familiarity with voltmeters and other diagnostic tools.
- Experience working with both high voltage and low voltage systems.
- Ability to perform maintenance/troubleshooting tasks related to electrical installations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Valid driver's license is required.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in Residential and Commercial Experience. (Required)
- OSHA 10 card (preferred).
- Journeyman card (preferred).
Physical Responsibilities
- Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring.
- Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
- Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
