Position: Assay Lab Technician
i-80 Gold Corp is seeking a candidate to fill the position of Assay Lab Technician. The right individual is responsible to prep and analyze samples from various clients and parts of the mine sites. Provide quality results to support the safe and efficient mining process. Must be able to lift and push up to 70lbs. Know and comply with company policies and procedures.
Location: Lone Tree Mine Site – Battle Mountain NV 89820
Responsibilities
- Safe Sample Prep
- Fire Assay and other analytical methods as required.
- Analyse metallurgical samples using the following: AA (Atomic Absorbance Spectrometer), LECO (Carbon/Sulfur Analyzer), and other analytical methods as required
- Must be able to accurately collect and report results using LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System).
- Safe handling of various chemical reagents.
- Great attention to QA/QC (Quality Assurance/Quality Control)
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Excellent Organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 70lbs
- Mining Experience preferred
- Previous Lab Tech experience preferred
- Ability to multi-task
- Basic math skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills
- Must comply with state and federal health and safety regulations, company policies and procedures and the company environmental compliance policy
- Some flexibility required for varied work hours during busy periods
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
