
Job Title: Care & Maintenance Technician I

Care & Maintenance Technician
The Care & Maintenance Technician supports safe and efficient underground and surface operations by maintaining water treatment and processing systems, performing inspections and mechanical repairs, operating heavy equipment, and ensuring compliance with all company, MSHA, and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely perform underground and surface operations in compliance with company, MSHA, and environmental standards.
- Conduct inspections, maintain housekeeping, and document daily activities.
- Operate and monitor processing/PLC systems; troubleshoot and repair pumps, equipment, and light vehicles.
- Operate heavy equipment including loaders, excavators, backhoes, forklifts, graders, skid steers, and related support equipment.
- Follow SOPs, support teamwork, and promote a strong safety culture; other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior underground mining experience required; must possess current MSHA Underground Certification.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems and pumping systems preferred.
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, backhoes, and loaders preferred.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Word.
Schedule
Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday 10 hours/day with occasional overtime
