Position: HR Generalist
i-80 Gold Corp is seeking a candidate to fill the position of HR Generalist. The role of the HR Generalist is to oversee daily function at mine sites, acting as a versatile professional covering recruitment, employee relations, and policy enforcement. This position will support staff and management, ensuring compliance with employment laws while fostering a positive workplace culture.
Location: Lone Tree Mine with weekly travel to other sites
HR Generalist Responsibilities:
· Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
· Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
· Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
· Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
· Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
· Facilitates employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
· Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
· Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required.
· Minimum 5 year’s experience in Human Resources
· SHRM Certification preferred
· Intermediate computer skills, utilizing Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat
· Proficient with HRIS systems
· Strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize assignments and responsibilities
· Ability to give and take direction
· Ability to collaborate with decision makers in a professional manner and maintain confidential information
· Superior interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with a variety of personalities, with professionalism
· Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
· Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal and external personnel
· Detail oriented, able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
· Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, be able to multi-task, and meet deadlines
· Positive can-do attitude
· Self-starter, able to work autonomously with minimal supervision and a high degree of accuracy
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Valid Nevada drivers license
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of sitting/standing at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
· Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
