About the Role
This position will be located at a Project approximately 20 miles northeast of Lovelock, Nevada. The Project is undergoing construction activities and will require a full-time environmental professional to monitor activities and compliance at the Project. This position is expected to work up to 12-hour shifts at the Project Monday through Friday. The schedule may change to a 7 days on/7 days off schedule as the Project progresses.

This is role offers hands-on exposure to fieldwork, environmental compliance, reporting, and project support. You’ll work under the guidance of experienced team members and support a variety of client projects.
What You’ll Do
- Project Support: Assist in executing baseline programs and compliance plans.
- Technical Writing: Prepare NEPA, PoOs, NOIs, SWPPPs, reclamation plans, and compliance documentation.
- Agency Coordination: Interface with federal, state, and local agencies (Nevada, Arizona, Idaho experience preferred).
- Report Writing: Draft environmental reports, inspection memos, and permit submittals.
- Field Work:Conduct environmental sampling, inspections, and monitoring (groundwater, surface water, soil, etc.).
- Team Collaboration: Coordinate with subcontractors and internal staff to complete deliverables. Work closely with other field staff from multiple different companies.
- Field Oversight: Participate in field programs including construction, drilling, reclamation, or environmental monitoring. Monitor ongoing construction related activities.
- Mapping and Analysis: Use CAD and/or GIS (if experienced) for data review and site planning.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, Hydrology or a related field.
- Experience: 3–6 years of relevant experience (internships, technician roles, or previous consulting work preferred).
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with sampling protocols, basic permitting processes, and field safety; GIS/CAD experience preferred but not required.
- Work Style: Strong writing skills, detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work independently or in teams.
- Travel: Willing and able to travel up to 5-7 days per week, including overnights. A vehicle will be provided for travel.
- Field Ready: Comfortable driving to remote sites, hiking rough terrain, and navigating changing weather.
- Location: Northern Nevada residency required. Winnemucca or Lovelock-based candidates are preferred; relocation to Winnemucca or Lovelock is required upon hire if not currently local.
